“A study was conducted by OECD on “The World Economy” at a millennial perspective of 2000 years by Angus Maddison, where the fact-files revealed stunning conclusions on the history of world economy. For 1400 years India was leading the world economy, in 1500 India and China were equals, in 1600 China overtook India, in 1700 India overtook China. The game was between these two countries; but in 1850 both became aloof. In 1900, the countries that contributed 60% of world GDP came down to 8%. Also the Roman Egyptian Records, show how India dominated the world economy and how the Roman Gold was draining as an exchange of Goods with India.” Says Swaminathan Gurumurthy.

He exposed the aggressive corporate expansion and unhealthy business practices by Dhirubhai Ambani. Ramnathan Goenka entrusted him with fighting Reliance Industries. His articles in The Indian Express created stirs in the corporate world as they publicly denounced a culture of corruption within the troubled conglomerate.
