‘Krushi’ derived from a Vedic word ‘Krisi’, means cultivating earth. ‘Parashara Granth’ written in India, taught whole world the right method of Agriculture. From Ramayana to Indus valley civilization, Indian agriculture persist well established. In ‘Atharva Ved’, ‘Krushi’ is entitled as human. Hence, we call India our motherland. ‘Bharat Mata’.

When there were no civilizations established in other countries, India was already well developed in Agriculture. Indian farmers knew the right time of; cultivating soil, sowing seeds and harvesting crops. After Independence, India have fought a huge fight recovering from the wounds given by Mughals and Britishers. Technology of this new era have changed the appearance of Indian Agriculture. Where Government Policies like: Soil Health Card, Fasal Bima Yojna, Krushi Sinchai Yojna, E-naam, E-Rakam; strengthen the fundamentals of Agriculture, ISRO satellite technology strengthens agriculture at Networking level, to safeguard its future.
From head to toe, whom are we dependent on? From the food we eat to the bed on which we sleep, we are dependent on our farmers. After independence, some experts gathered in Rome to discussed our future, and concluded that Indians will die starving for food. But as per statistics, not only India has sufficed food to serve Indians, but India also serves food to countries starving for food. Credit goes to our Indian farmers. So Shout-out to Shastriji’s slogan, ‘Jai Jawan Jai Kisaan!’
