The History of Economy unfolds; as the well-known Economist and Author, Bibek Debroy portray India’s economy from Mughal-British Rule to Independence and after Independence to the present day scenario; detailing the aspects like; Manusmriti, kautilya’s arthashastra, Colonial period, License Raj, Nationalization of Banks, Demonetization, GST and Liberalization.

Bibek Debroy, the well-known economist and author; currently serves as the Chairman of Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister (EAC-PM) and he is also the member of NITI Aayog, the think tank of Indian Government. He has made significant contributions to the game theory, economic theory, income and social inequalities, poverty, law reforms, railway reforms and Indology. He was awarded with ‘Padma Shri’ in 2015; with ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ in 2016, by US-India Business Summit and was featured as “most prolific translator” in the ‘Limca Book of Records’ in 2019. He has authored over 100 books in the field of Economics, Polity, Indology and Sanskrit. He translated the Mahabharata, the Bhagavad Gita, the Harivamsa, the Vedas, the Valmiki Ramayana, and the Bhagavata Purana.

They vote for a government that deliver a better governance; a better prosperity, which will enable India to reclaim some historical legacies that has been lost. Think before Voting; as Preamble to the constitution says ‘We the people let the Government we deserve!’” says the Indian economist and Author Bibek Debroy.
