India was looted, women were raped, children were sliced and innocent people were killed. India was DIVIDED. Trains from Pakistan used to carry dead bodies, instead of living human beings. Trauma of those sufferings is impossible to understand, comprehend or, to even have empathy for.
India was ruled for more than 1,000 years, but on 15th of August, when we got independence, 80-90% of the population remained Hindu, because they failed in breaking our families, our societies, and our communities.
When the west was busy in exploring the geographical continents of the world, at that time India was discovering the continents of heart mind and soul. We are not explorers of the outer world but we are explorers of the inner world. Our strength lies in ‘spirituality.’ For us, spirituality is creating a relationship between outer world and inner world to discover the supra divine, the supranatural power that drives the universe. Because we believe that is the ‘Ultimate truth.’ And what else is life except for finding the truth?
A lot of people ask that why in your country women are not empowered? Here I want to submit my argument: First duty of a human being is to create good human beings. Who has been manufacturing the Indians who are never ever found in any kind of conflict? Why is that India has the largest Peace keeping forces in this world? Why is that India has never ever invaded any other society and country? Why is it that you will never find Indians picking up guns? Who has been manufacturing them? Our mothers. So, a woman who can manufacture such wonderful human beings, you tell me, whether she is empowered or not?
