Have a look at Moon Walk on the streets of Bengaluru.

Baadal Nanjundaswamy is a painter from Bengaluru, popular for his street-art and 3D paintings. In his version of Chandrayaan landing on the streets of Herohalli, he highlighted the potholes as moon craters with an actor turned astronaut walking on it.

Baadal, is a Gold Medalist in ‘Bachelor of Fine Arts’ from Chama Rajendra Academy of Visual Arts, Mysore. He was honored with the ‘Pride of Mysuru Award’ (2015),‘Bengaluru Youth Award’ (2016) ‘Pride of workmanship Award’ (2017) and ‘Samartha Kannadiga Award’ in 2018.

His artistic view in highlighting the disorderly conditions of potholes on the streets of Bengaluru and Mysore is proving satirically successful in influencing the civic authorities to improve the road conditions. He does this work in his personal time and expense.

On 1st September 2019, he tweeted a video on social media with a hashtag ‘#ToBBMPWithLove’, portraying the potholes of the Herohalli streets of Bengaluru as moon craters, with an actor turned astronaut moonwalking in slow motion. His tweet went viral in no time with more than 970K views, 20K likes and 6.5K shares, raking a hilarious response from social media.

His other works are ‘Crocodile Installation’ in a pot hole, ‘Yama’s face’ around an open Manhole, ‘Mermaid Artwork’ featuring Kannada Actress Sonu Gowda, and such other 3D painting around potholes and maintenance holes on the street.

“The pen is mightier than the sword!” Kudos to Baadal Nanjundaswamy for using his Artistic power for a  good cause.
