‘Howdy Modi’ event in Houston, all set to welcome the Prime Minister of India.

The ‘Howdy Modi’ event is a mega Community Summit organized by the Texas India Forum (TIF), a non-profit organization promoting cooperation between India and the US. The event got sold-out with over 50,000 registrations, and a waiting list loaded at houseful capacity.

‘Howdy’ is a short greeting for ‘How do you do?’ commonly used in the south-western US. ‘Howdy Modi’ is a mega Community Summit in the honor of the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi. It aims at advancing the shared values of democracy, inclusive development, and mutual respect. Over 50,000 supporters have already registered for the event held at the NGR Stadium, on Sunday, 22nd September 2019, 10:00 am.

“On behalf of the hundreds of thousands of Indian-Americans in Texas and as co-chair of the Senate India Caucus, I welcome Prime Minister Modi to Houston. India continues to be a key security and economic partner of the United States, and I look forward to seeing that relationship strengthen with his visit to Texas,” said US Senator John Cornyn.

The live audience at the mega community summit, will be the largest ever for a foreign leader in the US, other than Pope Francis. Talented artists from Houston and Texas shall perform in the cultural programme, show-casing the diversity of Indian-American community. Live broadcast of the event will reach over 1 billion people across India and the US via internet and television channels. With the tag-line “Shared Dreams, Bright Futures.”‘Howdy Modi’ is sure to be a big hit!
